A Chrome extension that arranges videos and images on one free canvas, keeping each one's aspect ratio, so nothing gets cropped.
Most grid players fix rows and columns first and squeeze every video into the cells. The more videos you add, the narrower the cells get and the more is cut off. This works the other way round: it combines side by side and stacked groups, nested, and picks the arrangement that fills the screen best for the shapes you actually have. You can still drag and resize everything by hand.

No. Everything runs inside your browser. There is no server. A saved layout keeps which file sits where, not the file itself.
Yes, when the monitors are combined into one wide display (NVIDIA Surround or AMD Eyefinity). It detects each monitor and the bezel gap from the screen size. With separate displays it works on the monitor the window is on.
Turn on hardware acceleration in chrome://settings/system. The toolbar shows GPU: ON when it is active. Videos in a format your GPU cannot decode (often AV1 on older cards) are marked “CPU decode”.
No. Streaming players can only play inside their own page. Local files and direct links to files such as .mp4 or .webm work.
The browser drops file access when a page closes. Press “Allow and reconnect” once and Chrome asks for all files together. Images sent from the web are stored in the browser and come back without asking.
This extension is distributed as a ZIP, not through the Chrome Web Store. Chrome loads extensions from a folder only in Developer mode.
